Without conducting annual re-checks, your organization may miss a critical violation by an employee, volunteer, or student, or applicant. This can put your organization at significant risk, both from a safety and a liability standpoint. All employees that are required to drive on company time, regardless of vehicle ownership, should be subject to driving record checks annually.
Driving Record Checks
Putting Safe Drivers On The Road
Minimize Your Organization’s Risk Exposure
Whether you maintain a fleet of company trucks, or have employees that drive personal vehicles on company business, driving records are a critical element in limiting your organization’s legal exposure. Working with Validity Screening Solutions, organizations can gain access to driving records that report any moving violations, suspensions, revocations, or expirations for employee or applicant driver’s licenses.
Working With Validity
A clear and compliant pre-employment report puts your drivers behind the wheel, but routine re-checks keep them there.
Using Validity’s online platform, iDSource, Clients get the benefit of complete and accurate driving record information that helps ensure that their drivers continue to maintain a valid license and practice safe driving habits. Beyond continuous monitoring, partnering with our team also provides Clients with access to annual re-checks—as well as the capability to submit large batch orders for multiple driving record checks or re-checks at once.
Our Driving Record Check Process
Step 1
Clients submit the driver’s name, DOB, license number, and state of issuance. Large orders may be submitted in one batch by uploading a secure spreadsheet with the required information.
Step 2
That information is then sent to the state’s Department of Motor Vehicles. No outdated driving records are used.
Step 3
The Department of Motor Vehicles returns official record results to Validity. Results include tickets, violations, and suspensions. Some states also include medical certificate information for CDL drivers.
Step 4
Driving record results are reviewed by Validity’s Quality Assurance Team to ensure that the information is accurate.
Step 5
The Quality Assurance Team flags any tickets, violations, or suspensions in the driver’s report and makes the information available to the candidate and Client for review.
