After-hours testing is facilitated via Validity’s partner: eScreen. While clinic hours vary by location, generally after-hours testing is defined as:

Monday – Friday After 7:00PM

All day Saturday & Sunday

Your company’s Designated Employer Representative (DER) or the employee’s immediate supervisor will contact the after-hours team and supply the required information when a new test is required.

The answering service agent will request the following:

• Caller Name
• Reason For Test: Post-Accident or Reasonable Suspicion
• Company Name
• Caller Phone Number
• Is caller the Designated Employer Representative (DER) or Supervisor? If neither, please provide the DER/Supervisor Name and Phone Number
• Address
• Donor Info: Name, SSN/ID Number, Phone Number
• Type Of Test: Drug and/or BAT
• Modality: DOT or Non-DOT
• Do you have a chain of custody form?

When contacting the after-hours toll-free number, you will inform the answering service agent about the specific type(s) of test(s) required, including DOT and Non-DOT drug screenings, as well as DOT and Non-DOT breath alcohol screenings.

Once the information has been communicated to the after-hours answering agent, a return call will be made by the After-Hours Coordinator (AFC) within 15 minutes. The AFC will verify the information provided and assist in determining whether the donor can proceed to a facility for testing or if an onsite collection is required. Please Note: Onsite Collection can result in additional fees.

• If the donor is able to go to a collection site, the AFC will attempt to locate a facility in the area that is able to conduct all required services. If the AFC is unable to locate a facility in the area, the AFC will default to an onsite collector.
• If the donor is not able to go to a collection site, the AFC will coordinate an onsite collection.

Once the collection site or onsite collector is identified, the AFC will communicate the clinic information or collector’s name and the estimated time of arrival with the caller.

The DER or employee supervisor who scheduled the test should email drugtesting@validityscreening.com to notify them about the after-hours test with the following information:

• Donor Name
• Driver’s License Number and State
• Donor’s Email and Phone Number
• Date and Time of Collection
• Copy of ePassport
  • If ePassport is unavailable:
    • eScreen account number
    • Clinic or Onsite collection
    • Test Type

This will enable Validity to initiate a drug testing profile and begin monitoring process for status updates and results.

After-hours pricing may vary. Typically, if the donor is able to complete testing at a designated facility, the cost will consist of your agreed-upon test price plus a $7.00 after-hours fee.

In the event that an onsite collection is required, the minimum fee will consist of your agreed-upon test price plus the collector’s fee. The final price will be determined by the collector’s rate.

The turnaround time for results will align with the timeframe of a conventional test.
