SSN Validation Search:
Unrecognized Names & Jurisdictions
The Social Security Number (SSN) Validation, also known as SSN trace, is a screening method employed to gather extensive information during a thorough background check. The results of this search can reveal any aliases or addresses potentially linked to an individual. Furthermore, the findings will highlight jurisdictions where employers may consider conducting further investigations, such as a criminal background check.
Unrecognized names and addresses are not indicative of identity theft or fraud; but if this is a concern, we recommend visiting www.annualcreditreport.com where you will be able to pull your credit report from each of the three bureaus once a year at no cost.
You may also consider placing a security freeze on your credit file. Additional resources can be found by reviewing the Remedying the Effects of Identity Theft document here.
