The Louisiana House of Representatives has passed H.B. 575, which would require transportation network companies (e.g., Lyft, Wingz, Uber) to perform background checks on drivers.

The Alabama House of Representatives has passed H.B. 58, which would require criminal background checks for applicants seeking an Emergency Management Service (EMS) license.

The Oregon Senate has passed S.B. 725, which would specify the types of charges or convictions that may disqualify an individual from specific professional licenses, certifications, and employment.
